Hi all!
A little question.
Why PHP uses -lgds during compilation?
Why not -lgdslib ?
After I compiled PHP [with default -lgds] and test some
simple code I notice, that gds_pipe process is spawned.
And remains in memory after client disconnected!! Like this
16861 ? S 0:00 \_ /www/bin/httpd
17756 ? S 0:00 \_ /usr/interbase/bin/gds_pipe.....
I don't like this and I recompiled PHP with -lgdslib.
As a result - libphp4.so becomes about 200k smaller;)
and there are no interbase processes remaining in memory after
client disconnect.
May be compilation with -lgdslib is more accurate?;)
Regards,
Serg
