Hi,
I have been working with PHP for about 2 months and I am having some fun.
However, today an interesting situation arose that I was wondering if
anyone could offer a technique for this:
I am wanting to do a "join" on multiple datasources (outer, inner....at
this point I don't care about the type...just if it can be done). I have
PHP running on an NT box because we only have database access for a
proprietary db (HP turboimage) via a windows ODBC driver. PHP talks to
this source fine. We also have a MySQL datasource we use. PHP obviously
talks nicely to this. Now what I'd like to do is have the ability to join
tables from both datasources. The only thing I can think to
accomplish this is to select from one datasource, select from the other
and "manually" join the data together. I am using ODBC calls for the T/I
datasource and mysql calls for the MySQL (although I was thinking of
making odbc calls to mysql if it would assist in the join). Any ideas?
