You have to install the postgreSQL support...
Check with:
rpm -q postgresql
You can use apxs tool....look at man apxs

Hi to all! I am new to postgresql but not new to databases. I really like
postgresql, I feel it is very powerful. I have one question. I have created
some db's and tables but I want to access them through PHP. I have the
following script in one page:
<?php
$dbcon = pg_connect("dbname = personas");
?>
when I execute php complains and says the function is not supported. How can
I know if I have installed and activated the postgresql libraries for php?
Thanks a lot,
Nicolas
