Or you could download and install UDMSerch: http://search.mnogo.ru/ It's pretty good "off the shelf" open source search engine. It supports various RDBM (mySQL, PostGres) and does have a "Spider" which you lauch in the cron to index the your web pages or the internet. And yes it does support PHP3 - 4. MySQL guys are using this on thier site :) so it can't be too bad :) And yeah it's OpenSource. > -----Original Message----- > From: Graeme Merrall [mailto:graeme@inetix.com.au] > Sent: Thursday, October 26, 2000 12:22 PM > To: Bert Goodman > Cc: php-db@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PHP-DB] MySQL 3.23.22 PHP 4 search engine > > > On Wed, Oct 25, 2000 at 05:14:59PM -0600, Bert Goodman wrote: > > I'm in the process of developing an e-commerce site and would like to use PHP to > > maintain and access my database. > I've been looking for a good premade search engine and can't seem to find one that > supports MySQL 3.23.22 and PHP4.
