MSSQL Question

I know this has probably been asked before.
I have a linux machine with PHP 4 and the ODBC and a NT machine with MSSQL.
I want to access data from my MSSQL database from my linux machine via PHP.
But I only have PHP installed with ODBC. I do not have the MSSQL functions
installed. Is there a way to use the ODBC functions to access the MSSQL
database?
