dynamics variables

Hello, I'm French, so excuse me for my poor English.
I use PHP3 and My SQL
I want to make a first php page which can list many column of a database. In
this first page, I want that my user can modify some information in every
column.
Then they submit this information to a second page which replace every
column with the new data.
My problem is that I don't know how many columns I have in the database and
so how many variables I have. In every column, I want to modify the variable
"ordre" and "visible".
Can you give me a way to do that.
