Hi everybody,
does anyone have an idea how to set up an oracle 8.1.6 client to work with
another charset ? I've already set the apache environment to the following:
NLS_LANG=GERMAN_GERMANY.WE8ISO8859P1
ORA_NLS33=/www/oranlsdata
this works fine with sqlplus on the server, but fails on the client machine
with apache (the Oracle server is NOT running on the same machine as the
webserver). On connect, i get an ORA-12705 and that's it. Commenting out
NLS_LANG and ORA_NLS33 solves the problem, but i get an US-ASCII charset ...
Any ideas what's wrong ?
