SAPDB is an open source database. In term of features it is very close to that of ORACLE. The FAQ at http://www.sap.com/solutions/technology/sapdb/ has a *very* short list of features. The downloads and more details are available at official site of SAPDB www.sapdb.org Some of the features I find useful compared to MYSQL are 1. Support for referential integrity , constraints , Database triggers, Stored Procedures 2. Transaction Support (Much Better compared to MYSQL) 3. Supports ANSI 92 SQL 4. Supports Views , roles , synonames etc 5. Much better user management and advanced security features 6. Object oriented design possible 7 Building of truly multithread OOP based application is now possible with SAPDB. and there is much more.
