It seems you've forgotten the name of your DB system also :-)...
However, if it's Postgres, just connect to the default template1
that's always there, and do a \l (lowercase L) to see the list.
Incidentally, \? gives you the list of all psql metacommands like
this.
If you prefer a faster way, just look at the names of the subdir
under $PGDATA/data... they should be one for each DB, named
after it.
You've already gotten a replay regarding MySql, I leave to the
others the other existing DBs! :-)
