only assoc array returned in pg_fxn

hi, is there any function in php that returns only assoc_array from a postgres database. pg_fetch_array returns both numeric indexed array and assoc_array together. (eg; $row = array ( 0=>"test0", "key0"=>"test0", 1=>"test1", "key1"=>"test1", ...); ) Is there a way to return only the assoc array or to extract assoc array from $row returned by pg_fetch_array??
