I need to be able to both open a new window (I guess using javascript) and to be able to discern which button has been pushed so that the associated number gets inserted into a record without leaving the current page. PHP won't take the javascript variable without posting but I need javascript to open the new window. Nor can I just use javascript to insert into the table. Can anyone see anything I am overlooking?
