Hi everybody, I'm not sure where this question is more apropriate to send to, however LDAP is a database also. I hope you can help me. Well, my problem is that when I use : $ds = ldap_connect("localhost"); I get on $ds a false (or negative) value, typical when was not possible to make the connection. However I'm sure on my localhost is runnning a LDAP server and on the default port (389). I checked this by using ldapsearch command at the same time when I'm trying to execute the php script. Also the web server is running also on my localhost. I know this is very strange and perhaps I'm missing something basic, but after a couple of hours trying to figure out the problem I decided to send this message to this list. I wonder how can I debug what php is trying to do at a lower level to track the problem?
