I have been monkeying around with PHP for a while, and have various
examples of odd PHP scripts at http://penguin.epfl.ch/PHP/index.html
The scripts on this page include a 'Manage how-to database' example
which gave me some ideas for doing something more general... for example,
creating an html interface for any given MySQL table.
Thus I have pieced together some PHP scripts that are capabable of
generating PHP scripts from a table definition as defined by mysqldump.
The generator is at: http://penguin.epfl.ch/PHP/WebDB/WebDB.html
It is important to read the help file at:
http://penguin.epfl.ch/PHP/WebDB/help_WebDB.html
which will tell you that I haven't yet implemented insert, modify and
delete yet; etc.
This is very much a 'work in progress', and is surely buggy. If anyone
has some ideas on how this sort of thing could be more elegantly done, I
would be interested in hearing about it. Getting all those quotes right
is almost a religious experience... :-)
