Hi folks!
I solved the problem myself (OK, I required some assistance). I will shortly
explain it: I'm using the latest Apache under Win98 SE and used PHP as CGI
Handler via "Action" command. In order to connect to external and off-server
databases, you have to load PHP as a module via the "LoadModule" command.
You got to copy the php4ts.dll to your windows/system directory, otherwise
the module will not load properly. You can read all about loading it as a
module under http://www.php4win.de (english-speaking website).
