Hi all:
I'm using mysql-3.22.32 on rh6.1
I've seen on mysql.com that mysql-3.22.32 has issues with the SHOW
command when used with GRANT I think, but mine allowed the following:
mysql> GRANT SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE,CREATE,DROP
-> ON <your database>.*
-> To <username>@localhost
-> IDENTIFIED BY '<password>'
mysql> GRANT SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE,CREATE,DROP
-> ON <your database>.*
-> To <username>@mydomain.ac.uk
-> IDENTIFIED BY '<password>'
I flushed privileges, and where I was unable to interact from a php4
page before this procedure, I was then allowed to following
this procedure (Indicative that mysql accepts the above commands)
Yet:
mysql>SHOW GRANTS FOR myuser@localhost gives the following error
message: 'You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'GRANTS FOR
myuser@localhost at line 1'
So my question is therefore: If I am able to grant privileges, how am I
able to view them on all my db's and their respective tables?
Many thanks if you even read this far!
