Not that I know of (went flipping through my book, didn't see one either),
but I found a reply on the mailing list about it:

Subject: [PHP-DB] MySQL Query Execution time
I want to display the execution time of a MySQL query
in a PHP app. (By execution time I'm referring to the
number of seconds that appears below result sets in
the MySQL client.)
example:
1 row in set (0.03 sec)
Is there a way to retrieve this value from within a
PHP script?
Thanks,
Ezra
