Netscape/POST/DB problem

I have a page with a Form using the POST method. The page is re-entrant
- that is, I go to the page again to validate fields. If all is OK, I
store the data in a DB (Interbase). With IE everything works great,
however, the page times out on a SELECT and/or a INSERT with Netscape.
If the page uses a Form with the GET method, all is fine for both
browsers.
Any suggestions?????
