This is slightly off the topic of php-db. I'd like to use the following
technique to load the results of a php page into a hidden layer, and then
access the variables via javascript. I couldn't get php pages to load so I
just tried an HTML page to test and couldn't get it to work in NN or IE. Any
hints?

document.layers['layer'].load('answer.html');

document.all['layer'].src = 'answer.html';
