Try:
$con = mysql_connect($DB_SERVER, $DB_USER, $DB_PASS)
or die ("Cant connect");
mysql_select_db($DB_NAME, $con);
Also try and make your php functions like so: mysql_xxxxx() instead of:
mysql_xxxxx () (loose the gap!)
