Code snippet from db_sybase.inc ( from phplib):
if ( 0 == $this->Link_ID ) {
$this->Link_ID=sybase_pconnect($this->Host,$this->User,$this->Pas
sword);
if (!$this->Link_ID) {
$this->halt("Link-ID == false, connect failed");
}
$this->Last_Host=$this->Host;
}
I recently upgraded from php 3.0.12 to 4.0.0. Now,
intermittently, the sybase_pconnect() in the above code fails and
the "Link_ID == false, connect failed" message appears. If I
refresh the page (usually not more than twice), the
sybase_pconnect() succeeds.
Configuration:
php 4.0.0 as a static Apache module
Apache 1.3.12
SuSe Linux 6.1
Sybase Interactive Server 11.0.3.3
Is Apache/php not waiting long enough for the connect to succeed?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
