Is the database on the same server as your HTTP server ?
If so what is the full path to it ?
Check if you can access the database with Interbase tools
(IBConsole) using the path you specified with your your
connect function.
If the Database is on your local machine, try the path of
localhost:<path_to_your_file>
P.S.
There's a dink missing before SYSDBA in your connect function.
