This sounds more like a Postgres question ... :)
Check pg_hba.conf file.
You should have something like:
host all X.X.X.X 255.255.255.255 password password_file
then do smth. like :
$ pg_password password_file
Username: iusr_pzu79
Password: *****
Re-enter new password : *****
Tada!
to check everything is okay, try to connect to postgres from
another machine using that username and password. (e.g. use windows
version of pgaccess)
