Ah true enough. I'll fix that comment. I removed the stuff in configure
that relied on Perl to tell us how to compile a shared library and we now
ask apxs instead. I feel this is a more correct approach. apxs gets its
information from the Apache build which on weird platforms ends up asking
Perl in the end anyway, but for most known platforms the Perl fallback is
not used.
