Is there currently a way to delete over ftp, without writing the code to
communicate with the ftp server?
If not, would anyone mind if I did such a thing to unlink??
There are of course three easy ways to do this, that I can think of, but none
seem appropriate:
1. To call fopen wrapper and give it a file transfer mode of "d" or something.
Of course this seems to be a hack.
2. To copy all of the ftp code from the fopen wrapper to unlink. But this
creates duplicate source.
3. To create another function which both the fopen_wrapper and unlink use
to do the communication with the ftp server up to the point where the actual
RETR, STOR, or DELE is called.
I am real anxious just to give it a hack and make it work. =) But I thought I
would give you guys a chance to chime in, but I don't know if I understand
the internals of the interpreter resources enough to make the function that both
fopen_wrapper and unlink use.
And then I am REALLY hoping that someone is going to write me back and say,
"you stupid person, there is already a way to do that." =O
