Hello all; I tried compiling apache1.3.9 with latest php3 version. First after following the instructions I got the following error: <=== src/modules gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -O2 -DNETBSD -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite modules.c gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -O2 -DNETBSD -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite buildmark.c gcc -O2 -DNETBSD -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite -o httpd buildmark.o modules.o modules/php3/libphp3.a modules/standard/libstandard.a main/libmain.a ./os/unix/libos.a ap/libap.a lib/expat-lite/libexpat.a -lcrypt gcc: modules/php3/libphp3.a: No such file or directory *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. Then I figured, maybe I have to link libmodphp.a to libphp.a which I did, and then I get the error: gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -O2 -DNETBSD -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite modules.c gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -O2 -DNETBSD -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite buildmark.c gcc -O2 -DNETBSD -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite -o httpd buildmark.o modules.o modules/php3/libphp3.a modules/standard/libstandard.a main/libmain.a ./os/unix/libos.a ap/libap.a lib/expat-lite/libexpat.a -lcrypt modules.o: Undefined symbol `_php3_module' referenced from data segment modules.o: Undefined symbol `_php3_module' referenced from data segment collect2: ld returned 1 exit status *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. *** Error code 1 Stop. Can anyone help me with what is going on. I tried make libphp.a in the php3 dir and it only made a libmodphp.a there seams to be no libphp.a anywhere on the system. Thanks Tamer
