Bug description: empty() does not work (see 2088)
I'd like to reopen bug report 2088 (I didn't know of
a better way than doing this), since the semantics
are changing between PHP 3.0 and PHP 4.0.
Is the string '0' non-zero? I personally think so, as
it's not a number. I know of at least one application (phpMyAdmin) which breaks because of
this inconsistency.
If you're going to change the semantics of empty, I think
it would be a good idea to at least document it.
