Checking the PHP4 code against the PHP3 code for browscap stuff indicates that it's all consistent. I have a feeling it's something subtle in the way the config parser is loading up browser_hash; everything works fine until it gets to the copy constructor, which gets a bad pointer when copying found_browser_hash's (via agent's) obj.properties. As far as Zend internals go, I'm over my head here. :) At least I'm learning how Zend works in a roundabout way... Torben
