Hello guys, I have a problem, which i hope you guys can assist me with. I have search the Apache and PHP maillists and knowledge base but i havn't move any concrete solution. I am trying to compile PHP3.0.12 and APache 1.3.9 but i keep getting the following error when trying to compile Apache with the PHP support. ========================== <=== src/modules gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -DSUNOS4 -DUSEBCOPY -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite ./apaci modules.c gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -DSUNOS4 -DUSEBCOPY -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite ./apaci buildmark.c gcc -DSUNOS4 -DUSEBCOPY -DUSE_HSREGEX -DUSE_EXPAT -I./lib/expat-lite ./apaci \ -o httpd buildmark.o modules.o modules/php3/libphp3.a modules/standard/l ibstandard.a main/libmain.a ./os/unix/libos.a ap/libap.a regex/libregex.a lib /expat-lite/libexpat.a -L/usr/local/mysql/lib -L/usr/local/mysql/lib -lmysqlcl ient -Lmodules/php3 -L../modules/php3 -L../../modules/php3 -lmodphp3 -lm -lnsl -lresolv ld: Undefined symbol _memmove collect2: ld returned 2 exit status *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `target_static' Current working directory /usr/sa/Source/http/apache_1.3.9/src *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `build-std' Current working directory /usr/sa/Source/http/apache_1.3.9 *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `build' ============== Looking at the symbol tables gives nm -o apache_1.3.9/src/modules/php3/*.a | grep memmove libmodphp3.a:pcre.o: U _memmove libphp3.a:pcre.o: U _memmove however compiling php3 didn't barf at all ... But Apache is having a problem with the memmove.. SunOS doesn't have a memmove and i believe PHP3 defines a macro to handle this... Any suggestion as to how i can sort this one. I am running SunOS because of legacy reasons.. I will soon migrate this machine to Solaris but for the time i need to get PHP to work with APache .. This is critical .. i beg for some assitance..Thanks guys..
