Hello,
i've a little (maybe a bigger ? ) problem. (I hope it isn't a REALLY BIG
PROBLEM !)
Goal: Getting data through TCP/IP socket while user can edit HTML Form
(like an asynchronous call)
I want to offer a HTML-Form, which can be filled with data. The first
column, which must be filled,
is an number (like an address number) , which specifies the contents of
the
following
columns(like an address). Adress Number --> Address
Column1 Column2 Column3 .....
Address number First Name Last Name
The first column (for ex. address number) is entered by the user and the
user changes to the
next row and enters the next address number and so on. While the user is
entering the first
columns, which contains the address number, i want to update the following
columns with
first name, last name, and so on.
The needed data is retrieved with a TCP/IP socket ( no odbc :-( ). The
problem of my script is
that it blocks all entry's in the form while getting the data from the
socket.
Is there any possibility to retrieve and display the data in the form,
while
the user can enter the data
continuesly without waiting for the php3-function retrieving the data ?
Thanks for your help
