As someone who recently tackled the build process for Windows, I have a number
of suggestions for improvement. Here's the first, submitted in the form of a
patch. If accepted, it will permit builders to place the CYGWIN directories
anywhere on their machine. Furthermore, the patches are structured in such a
way that people who work with the current build process are not affected:
