hi,
u need to use ocibindbyname() of ora_bind() (if u use the "old" API).
what you need to do:
<?
$somelong = "some very long sring - .... - up to 2G";
$c = ocilogon("u","p");
$s ociparse($c,"insert into test (somelong) values (:SOMELONG)");
ocibindbyname($s,":SOMELONG",&$somelong,-1);
ociexecute($s);
ocifreestatement($s); ocilogoff($c); // etc
?>
