Yes, it works with everything else
However I've just discovered a similar problem in your bug database, for
HP-UX.
It would seem the problem is that $GCC is not defined in configure.
If you 'export GCC=/opt/gcc/bin' everthing works OK

Does your gcc actually work? ie. can you compile other stuff with it?
At first glance this doesn't appear to be a PHP problem.
