From: jmeskill@libertydistribution.com Operating system: RedHat 6.1 PHP version: 4.0 Latest CVS (04/11/1999) PHP Bug Type: Reproduceable crash Bug description: PHP4 DSO does not work with Apache 1.3.9 PHP causes Apache to crash when ANY page is accessed. This is on the default RedHat RPM of Apache. When I re-compile Apache 1.3.9 and re-install everything works as expected. No big deal for me, but this could pose a problem later. Also, apxs doesn't seem to be copying the libphp4.so to the modules directory for Apache. (RedHat has /usr/lib/apache aliased to /etc/httpd/modules). Here is what make install shows in regards to apxs: /usr/sbin/apxs -i -a -n php4 libs/libphp4.so cp libs/libphp4.so modules/libphp4.so chmod 755 modules/libphp4.so the correct path should be /etc/httpd/modules not just modules. This is probably a RedHat problem w/ their funky builds, but some solution needs to be made. Here is the debugging output: (gdb) run -X Starting program: /usr/sbin/httpd -X Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x40272e5a in regcomp (preg=0x8091aac, pattern=0x80a7eac "Mozilla/2", cflags=0) at regcomp.c:92 (gdb) bt #0 0x40272e5a in regcomp (preg=0x8091aac, pattern=0x80a7eac "Mozilla/2", cflags=0) at regcomp.c:92 #1 0x8050b11 in ap_pregcomp () #2 0x4020dbc7 in ??
