mysql_select_db() should do the same and the current database should
be part of the hash.
The PHPLIB mailing list is full of questions where someone has two DB_Sql
objects relating to two different databases which are being connected
using the same user/password/host triples. The database objects are kept
separate, but PHP produces the same link identifier for both, which is
an error. Also, the mysql_select_db documentation should indicate that
mysql_query("use ...") is not the correct way to change a database as
this would not update the hashed information.
