... well, maybe a bug.
(originally sent to Rasmus, but I suspect he's out of town still, so...)
I was just looking through the log files for one of our sites,
and noticed that the remote user (i.e. "%u" in the Apache access
logs) wasn't being logged.
I think this is because I'm using PHP to do HTTP authentication,
and Apache is looking for the REMOTE_USER environment variable,
which PHP doesn't seem to set.
Further, PHP_AUTH_USER isn't set as an environment variable either,
so I can't change my logs to something like:
\"%{PHP_AUTH_USER}i\"
or
\"%{PHP_AUTH_USER}e\"
So ... am I out of luck if I use PHP authentication?
