how well is this module tested? - i'm under teh impression that:

if (!ftp_getresp(ftp))
....
simply cannot work reliable, 'cause you *need* to make sure that your "USER.." gets
flushed thru to the socket. (eg using fflush()).
this is just a sample (flushes are missing all over the place).
i'm also not sure if using stdio for the FTP protocol will be a reliable solution at all. using
tis we'll never be able to handle time-outs etc.
don't get me wrong: i really like the module as such - but in my opinion it needs more work. i
was hoping i could use it to communicate to a weird FTP server that does not allow for STOR with a
path-name....
