I thought I'd read something about that somewhere. However, PHP4
(recent CVS) barfs on that syntax:
<?php
$a[3]['bar'] = 'Bob';
echo "This won't work: ${a[3][bar]}";
?>
Gives:
Parse error: parse error, expecting `'}'' in
/home/torben/public_html/php4test/__phplist.html on line 14
Moving the braces around just gives variations on 'Array[3][bar]'.
Looking in zend-scanner.l, it seems that what you say is indeed the
intended behaviour. Just doesn't seem to work. If this can be
confirmed, I'll add it to the bug database.
