From: karl@karlaustin.co.uk Operating system: Windows 98 4.10.1998 PHP version: 4.0 Beta 3 PHP Bug Type: Reproduceable crash Bug description: PHP Crashes when trying to run a script. PHP Configured with MySQL module. Default PHP ini file only paths changed. Couldn't get the link to a Gdb backtrace to work. Information: ------------ PHP caused an invalid page fault in module PHP4TS.DLL at 0177:100489f6. 0177:100489F6 mov dword ptr [edx],eax Registers: EAX=48544150 CS=0177 EIP=100489f6 EFLGS=00010202 EBX=0000002c SS=017f ESP=0063fcf8 EBP=007782a0 ECX=cfdb33f0 DS=017f ESI=007608b0 FS=661f EDX=4152545f ES=017f EDI=00654240 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 89 02 8b 06 85 c0 74 06 8b 4e 04 89 48 04 56 ff Stack dump: 007782d9 007603e0 10002ded 007608c0 00000001 007603e0 0063fdc4 00000000 007603e0 0076090a 00762c80 0000000f 0040307c 0000000f 000004e4 0063fdc4 Obviously it never rcrashes at the same address again but it does always crash with the same instruction. The Script ---------- <? echo "Test"; ?> As you can see a very trivial script, I tried it with much more complex scripts but it seems it only takes an echo to crash it. Also Beta 1 & Beta 2 also crashed trying the same script. System ------ Windows 98 4.10.1998 Celeron 500 128mb PC100 Apache 1.3.9 IE5
