This is the correct behavior.
Strings that look like numbers are automatically
converted to numbers in array indices, so
$foo["5"] is identical to $foo[5].
This isn't the case for strings with leading zeros,
that is, $foo["01"] is not the same as $foo["1"] or
$foo[1]. This is why you get this behavior.
