PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: libtool cannot link in static libs
I have seen an earlier bug report that was similar but the solution didn't make sense to me.
At the end of a build I get warning messages like
*** Warning: This library needs some functionality provided by -lc-client.
*** I have the capability to make that library automatically link in when
*** you link to this library. But I can only do this if you have a
*** shared version of the library, which you do not appear to have.
*** The inter-library dependencies that have been dropped here will be
*** automatically added whenever a program is linked with this library
*** or is declared to -dlopen it.
my config line:
./configure --with-apxs=/opt/apache/bin/apxs ---without-gd --with-imap=/usr/imap --with-ldap=/opt
Even though the build only complains about the c-client lib, there are many other unresolved
symbols(mostly LDAP).
