Status of modules in dl/?

I just nuked the dl/mssql directory, after seeing it looks like an
obsolete version of ext/mssql. I then looked at dl/snmp, and it looks as
if it's also an old version of ext/snmp. Is there anything special about
these dirs, or can we simply nuke them?
