Well, "<%=" is there, not "<?=". The latter existed once, and is trivial
to add, but it was shouted down before. (And the comment on removing it
was: "Removed the <?= token in the scanner. If this is every implemented
it should be implemented mainly in the parser, or someplace in between.")
