OCI8 Problems

Hi: I am running redhat 6.1 on an x86 pentium III machine. I have Oracle 8 installed and PHP 4 Beta 3. It will compile fine with OCI8 support, however when you try and start httpd, you get this... Everything works fine without OCI8. I have tried using just Oracle rather then OCI8 but it doesn't change. I also tried using the latest 3.x but that yeilds the same results. Any suggestions?
