PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: unsatisfied symbol alloca at apache make stage
./configure guesses that alloca.h and alloca are implemented on this os, and the php4 make and make
install complete ok. However the apache make fails with message - unsatisfied symbol alloca.
I can fix this by editing php_config.h and zend/zend_config.h and #defining HAVE_ALLOCA and
HAVE_ALLOCA_H to 0 ( obviously so now the build uses its own alloca ).
This is a bit messy ( and took me ages to work out .... )
Steps to reproduce :
in apache_1.3.9 :
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache
in php4 :
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.9 --enabletrack-vars
make
make install
in apache_1.3.9 :
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
make
fails with unsatisfied symbol alloca
