I just added a test script to the cvs (tests/testdom). There is comment close to the bottom of that script explaining the error. The latest version of domxml in the cvs works and should run the sript without problems. If you uncomment one more functions of the php_domxmlnode_class_functions[], e.g. the one in line 65 of domxml.c, the script causes php to die. Hope that is easy enought to follow.
