PHP 4.0 Bug #3434: Apache 1.3.11 crashes when trying to load PHP4b3 module

Apache crashes when trying to load PHP4 module, but it does not give any warning messages (as in bug 2782). Apache is 1.3.11, self-compiled, sources from www.apache.org. PHP4b3 was configured with ./configure --with-apxs=/var/mysql/bin/apxs --with-mysql=shared,/usr (I know, Apache is installed in a very weird place..) But there were no warnings, and this is a newer version of Apache than in bug 2782. (I guess I'm lobbying to reopen 2782!)
