Hi,
Is there a HOWTO somewhere on creating PHP extensions, either through a dll or
compiled in? The PHP online manual does not have enough info (that I could
find), and the one bit of information I found refers to scripts and directories
off of the PHP source tree that don't exist. I have an older program that has
some legacy functions and custom database libraries that I would like to wrap
into a PHP module and use directly, but I can't figure out how. I have looked
at the mysql.c and have an idea, but I have too many questions that can't be
answered by the info I have.
The only other alternative would be to create some little C wrappers and use
exec/system type calls to pull the data in, but this seems like much more work
than necessary.
Please, if anyone out there knows where I can find this, let me know!!
(also, if the PHP people are reading this, please put more info about this on
your web page, and keep up the good work!)
