Hey folks.. I've noticed there doesn't appear to be any NIS+ support in PHP. Has anyone looked at the feasability of doing something like this? There is NIS support and LDAP support, so it seems like NIS+ is a reasonable addition. I'd be happy to work on coding it, but I just want to make sure there isn't any technical problems with doing so that I'm overlooking.. Mainly, the issue is that I'm working on finishing up a huge billing system for the company I work for, and we want to integrate the addition/cancellation/modification of users, who currently are stored in an NIS+ database. So things would be vastly easier if NIS+ support was integrated directly into PHP, so I wouldn't have to call external C or Perl programs. The only hangup I can think of is that the user running Apache&PHP (nobody) would have to have sufficient credentials to add and modify NIS+ users.. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this issue? Thanks John Donagher NETPLEX
