How do I add to the PHP3 Code ?

I have a working beta of an Ingres driver for PHP3 that I would like to see incorporated into the PHP3 module, and before I start asking for people to beta it I need to work out how to distribute it. Can anyone ovver any advice or pointers on how to distribute such an addition, or alternatively how to incorporate it into the PHP3 code base ? While I have it successfully building at home and at work, I had to modify quite a few files so that it would integrate with the ../configure,make,make install process and I am unsure if I have modified the necessary files only, or if some of the modifications I made were changes that the autoconf program made. I asked this similar question last year and got NO responses, so any advice would be appreciated.
