Hidyho,
I've been messing around with PHP Extensions in PHP3,
now the time came for me to move to PHP4 so I tried messing
with this too. I stumbled into some problems though.
1)
When you run ./setup in the dir dl/ it'll generate a makefile.
BUT it doesn't have -I../libzend/ .. Just so you know..
2)
The function dl() gives a FATAL error when it can't load a library.
I'd like to see it return FALSE, so I can take care of the error handling.
Eg. Generate a nice page with a readable error :-)
And as last, I got a little class feature request.. Constructor
overloading.. I think this could be done without that many problems..
Say you have Class A { function A($var1, $var2) { echo "$var1: $var2\n"} }
and you have Class B extends A { function B($var) { echo "$var: Hidyho\n"} }
Now were I to call
$C = new B("blah"); // use constructor from class B;
$C = new B("Header", "Value"); // use constructor from class A
An error should occur when both classes use a constructor with
the same number of constructor arguments.
